Aether League Rules

Competition & Community Rules

Last updated: October 25, 2026

1. Core standard

Compete fairly, report honestly, treat other participants with respect, and do not interfere with the operation of Aether League. Event-specific rules may add requirements and control where they conflict with these general rules.

2. Eligibility and rosters

Players must use their own eligible Aether and game accounts. Teams are responsible for accurate rosters. Once an event roster is locked, substitutions or changes require whatever exception the event rules or an Aether administrator expressly permits. Account sharing, impersonation, smurfing for an unfair competitive advantage, or use of an ineligible player may result in forfeiture or disqualification.

3. Scheduling and attendance

Participants must make reasonable efforts to schedule and play assigned matches through the supported Aether workflow. Accepted match times should be honored. If a player or team cannot attend, communicate promptly. Repeated no-shows, intentional delay, or abuse of scheduling tools may result in a forfeit or administrative action.

4. Match integrity

Cheating, unauthorized competitive assistance, exploiting a game or Aether vulnerability, deliberate disconnect manipulation, result fixing, collusion, falsified evidence, and tampering with telemetry or reporting are prohibited. Publisher/game rules and anti-cheat requirements also apply.

5. Reporting and confirmation

Submit accurate results. Opponents should confirm valid reports and dispute genuinely incorrect ones. A dispute is not a tool for delaying advancement. Aether administrators may review reports, telemetry, screenshots or other relevant evidence and may finalize, correct, void, remake, or forfeit a match when necessary.

6. Technical failures

Players should preserve relevant evidence when a disconnect, server problem, client failure, or other technical issue affects a match. Telemetry is supporting evidence, not an infallible source. Administrators may order a restart or remake, accept a result, or apply another reasonable remedy based on the available evidence and event rules.

7. Community conduct

Harassment, threats, targeted abuse, hate-based attacks, doxxing, spam, malicious impersonation, sexual harassment, and deliberate disruption of Aether spaces are prohibited. Competitive trash talk does not excuse conduct that materially harms or intimidates other participants.

8. Enforcement

Depending on severity and history, Aether may issue warnings, remove content, restrict features, reverse or forfeit results, remove a player from an event or team, suspend an account, or permanently terminate access. Serious security, fraud, cheating, or safety issues may receive immediate action.

9. Administrator decisions

Aether administrators are expected to apply rules consistently and in good faith. Administrators may make reasonable rulings for circumstances not explicitly covered by these rules. Material conflicts of interest should be avoided where practical.
