1. Purpose
The Aether Competition Client is an optional desktop application that connects supported games with Aether League competition features. It may provide match context, scheduling, teams, notifications, profile statistics, local match history, and automated or assisted competition reporting.
2. Local game telemetry
For supported games, the Client may read locally available game state, logs, or telemetry interfaces. For Rocket League, current functionality can process game-running state, Match GUID, private-match status, playlist, arena, player/game identifiers, teams, scores, result, player score, goals, assists, saves, shots, demos, touches, boost, speed, MVP status, and match timing when available. The exact fields depend on the game and telemetry source.
3. Local history and Aether reporting
The Client may maintain a bounded completed-match archive on your device. Local history is not automatically an official tournament result. When a match is associated with an Aether competition, relevant telemetry may be sent to Aether to support match recognition, statistics, result reporting, dispute review, and competition integrity. Aether may distinguish raw telemetry from finalized official results.
4. User control
You may close or uninstall the Client and may configure supported display preferences. Some Aether competitions may require particular reporting or verification steps, but installing the Client does not authorize Aether to access unrelated personal files. Do not modify, forge, intercept, or deliberately corrupt telemetry submitted for competition purposes.
5. Limitations
The Client and third-party telemetry sources can fail, omit fields, report stale information, or become incompatible after game updates. Automated recognition is therefore not guaranteed. Aether may rely on manual reporting, participant evidence, or administrator review when telemetry is unavailable or ambiguous.
6. Game publisher rules
You remain responsible for complying with the supported game’s terms, rules, and anti-cheat requirements. The Client must not be used to gain prohibited competitive information or an unfair gameplay advantage. Aether may disable or change an integration if publisher guidance, game updates, security requirements, or technical limitations require it.
7. Updates
The Client may check for and install application updates so that security, compatibility, and competition functionality remain current. Continued use of updated versions remains subject to the Aether Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and these Client Terms.
